Americans do seem to prepare food at home that is similar to that which can bought as ready-made fast food. I find that very strange indeed.


VERY astute observation. I'd never really noticed it, but you're correct. Not the entire population, of course, but many of us. We even have cookbooks devoted to duplicating the taste (if you call it that) of our 'fast foods'.
