Yes, some big retailers have asked their employees to use the phrase
'Happy Holidays' instead. How is that a threat to Christians? Don't
Christians want to have a happy holiday?

If you mean 90% of the population is happy to take the day off from
work and school you're probably right. If you mean 90% are believing
Christians, that's a nonsense statistic.

Be honest. Sure you would. You think only your holiday is the "right"
one.

Because for years offended people have told the retailers it offends
them to be offered a religious greeting from a religion they don't
share. Same reaction you probably had when greeted by a Hare Krishna
zealot in an airport. The better question is, why are you offended by
a wish that you have a Happy Holiday?

The retailer wishes you a Happy Holiday. If that pisses you off,
you're purposely taking offense at an inoffensive statement. No sane
person lives his life to please Fox News or a mob of televangelists.
