Never heard of that mix before, and no that is not a martini. A martini (unless specified "vodka martini") is Gin. Good gin preferably :) with a hint to a splash of vermouth (this part varies by taste). But those are the only ingredients in a classic martini. Olives are a nice touch, but optional.

I've seen this recipe identified as a martini in old bartender's guides. I agree that it's not a classic martini.
