And Now, She's Back!

Whelp, I got back last night. Not pleased with Baby or Moonlight's weight, so I upped the pellets on the former and added pellets to the diet of the latter. Baby is in a quarantine field with old dead pasture and chooses to sleep on her hay rather than eat it, so she's losing weight in spite of having had Strategy added to her diet after losing the filly. Moonlight just looks a little ribby, not terrible, but she's lost weight in the month or so. She normally needs some concentrates in winter, but she did great up until our weather got less nasty. Go figure.
This afternoon I busted back from work early (no kids signed up for appointments in the afternoon the day back from break). Carl and I were supposed to go to the Jacobsurg Park right after I got home, but he got hung up with a client so I stuck in a light ride with Moonlight, then brought in Baby and Belles and prepped them for travel and packed the trailer. Carl got back in time for us to load up and run to the park for an hour's hacking, a nice hilly wooded trail and then along the creek for a while. It was a good walk with some nice trotting spots along the way.
Tomorrow the farrier comes and we are going to pull Moonlight's front shoes and put Belles' shoes back on for the summer. :-)
How's everyone else doing?
