Do I cut back the rhodies now or in the spring? If in the spring, do I
do it before or after they bloom?

Coming from Rhody country I'll take them
I love my Rhodies . . . but not when they are taller than the first floor of my house, kinda scraggly, and block out the sun. :-)

You can cut them back any time BUT if you cut them back now you will be cutting back much of next years buds which are already set.

Ok. Maybe I will just take the really silly tall bits now. Don't want to cheat the hummingbirds and butterflies.

If you can wait until next year, let them flower, then cut the tallest branches back down from deep in the bush. <snip>

Thanks for the advice!
