Hey all sorry I haven't been online in a little while. Looks like I
sparked quite the healthy discussion though :-)
Yep! I learned something something about common useage anyway!
Just to clarify, I'm not Craig Paris, and I didn't join to try and
sell a book about something 95% of the folks on here already know
about, and I don't claim to be any kind of horse trainer.
In that case, I'll start over. Welcome to the group! I have a very small
boarding stable (5 horses). I own a TB mare which had been abandoned here
by a previous boarder. She and I bonded when she had an injury and so here
she stayed. ;) My other boarders are 2 TB's, an Arabian and a Paint. My
experience has been with caretaking primarily and I really don't ride any
longer. I was never any great shakes of a rider anyway so no big loss
there! But I love the caretaking and the little every day rewards of having
the horses on the property looking healthy and being happy! My two favorite
equestrian sports are Eventing and Racing, though both of those sports are
not heading in a very good direction at the moment.
Good luck with establishing your group and we hope to hear more about your
interests with horses.
Fran
