She was spayed yesterday. They sent her home with 6 hits of painkiller to be giving over the next three days. They never used to do that. This morning, she seemed totally normal, not in pain. I gave her the pain meds this morning and will give her them tonight but if she is fine tomorrow, I may bag them.
I had one spayed and one neutered a little over a week ago. They stayed overnight at the vet's and then came home the next morning with orders to be kept inside that day. No pain killers. Zoey, the female, slept most of the next two days, and then the next 3 she was cautious about her activites. I'm sure she had a little discomfort but for her, it was a good thing as it curtailed her normal ricochet rabbit routine and it kept her from going outside. Nooch the male, OTOH, had no stitches, no discomfort and was completely himself that day and went outside about 5 minutes after he got home despite Dr's orders.
Both ate and drank normally as soon as they got home.
I hope the elderly lady takes her. Otherwise, I want you to box her up and send her up here. :) Did you take pictures?
Mary
