If it's that wet, can't they throw out some fill and sand? High spots to
stand on outside beat stall time any time.

Not my place. I pick from among the available places.

Sorry
Am I missing the difference -- when you say its wet are you meaning the
amount it rains or the effect it has under foot on any places you can find
to keep P?

They are very different things, I know! Bitter experience of those in this
area.!!!

I would not have considered, even a passing thought, of having our stock,
chickens, ducks, sheep and a couple of friends equines, on our 24 acres
patch if it were in a peaty part of this locality.
Personally, we are on glacial raised beach - almost pure sand. Despite that,
in winters like this one when we have only very rare 19 hours of dry
weather, we can still get lying water on our fields. Its very depressing.
None of our stock likes it much. BUT careful management prevents much of my
utter abhorence --- MUD!

Up here its a very harsh environment to compete from but within 10 miles
there are national champs in driving and endurance - the latter for some
many years with Arabs !!!! There have been folks who have evented, done
dressage, and such. A bigger problem than climate has been resources and
assistance -- all along way away so only available to those who have the
time and finance to travel.
