Morrison roller shoe

Well, after being stabilized for a while, Pete has started flaring on the right side of the right feet. Also, the heel on the back right is becoming more underrun. That's the one with the damaged digital cushion.
He is ridden straight but still tends towards haunches right when turned out. And since he's out and about much of the time, even the trainer riding him straight 6 days a week isn't going to help. These are mostly walk, halt, trotting, hill work, etc. She does not canter him much yet.
I rode him on Tuesday. He is easily straightened and doesn't mind going straight. He will also easily and willingly do haunches left so I don't think this is a pain thing.
The suggestion was to try the Morrison roller shoe on both back feet.
The trainer is using Keratex at least 4 times a week and every time it rains to keep the hoofs hard and less likely to loose their shape.
Two of the tainer's horses have the roller shoes and it has helped them in the work because the foot is more stabilized. They had negative plamer algles also prior to the shoeing. Pete doesn't not have a negative angle any more on the back right but it may help anyway. And I may take him back the vet school if this doesn't resolve quickly.
Anyone used these shoes?
What is the gold standard treatment for underrun heels?
