LOLOL!!!! I have a teeny little pony like that. Her name is "Fatso
Marie". She's sooooo pretty but an absolute little PIA. She's the
brains of the operation. I'm sending her to a friend's barn on a long
term loan to keep her horse company. I'm hoping the friend's horse is
crazy about her and she stays there a long, long time.

Hope it works out. :)

Here, there's been a smack-down. I hung out with them all morning,
and they were doing OK. Caper is an obliging little guy, and he was
content to keep his distance from Lucy as long as he had plenty of
food. :) Lu made a few faces at Lily, but Lily stayed glued to her,
and Lu kinda gave up on it after a while. All three were out on the 2
1/2 acres foraging quietly, and I put lots of hay in piles all over
the place and went to run a quick errand that somehow took 2 hours.

When I got back, Lu and Caper were side-by-side, and Lily was nowhere
to be found. I called her, and got an answering whinny. She was
apparently not allowed back in the paddock by the barn. When she
tried to come in, in response to my call, Lucy ran her off.

Lucy is so full of her new-found boss-mare status that she won't let
Lily near the water. *sigh* I had just taken down my cross fencing
in preparation for the ring construction, but the posts are still
there, so I strung 3 strands of 1/2" tape and hung a couple gates back
up. So, Lily has the paddock and run-in, and Lu and Caper have the
barn, mini-paddock and woods. I dumped a couple bags of shavings in a
corner of the run-in, and Lily is all tucked in, eating hay and
guzzling water. She did lose some hide, poor pony. It's been cleaned
and dressed - too bad it won't have time to vanish beneath her coat
before her people return.

The strange thing is, Lily has been here before. She has always
gotten along well with Lu and Caper. Her possessive behavior today is
not really like her. I dunno - maybe it's because she is in heat.
Maybe her hormones are all whacked out - she does appear to have gone
down the Cushings road.

Four and a half days to go. :)
