YEA!!! I am going to cash that chit in one of these summers. Your

If Cooper didn't need to be back at the vet school in Knoxville.. I'd
be there right now.
I've been wondering: How's he doing?

Let me tell you how he's doing... first his health is great. He's
still taking the antibiotics and his skin is cleared up and perfect.
No scratching, licking... fingers crossed this is the end of it. He
has an appointment back in Knoxville on the 6th of September for a
recheck.

More importantly... you know how I saved his life, well he may have
returned the favor....

Yesterday, here in the north Georgia mountains, I was walking all
three dogs before dark when Cooper starting getting all hyper. He was
looking toward the woods, and whining and ears up and really behaving
bizarrely.

Gus and Tucker paid no attention to him or the woods.

I didn't know what Coop was so freaked about, but I decided the smart
thing to do would be head back to my trailer..... post haste...

Coop kept looking back... I mean it was like he was Lassie trying to
tell Timmy grandpa was in the well. <g>

I saw some people up at this end of the campground and told them that
there might be a bear down there...

There was.

The saw a cub a few minutes later.

I'm so glad he told me so we could get out of there before mama came
by to protect baby.... he may have saved my life.
