What do you guys do with your horses when there's a major lightning
storm(s) predicted?
Rebel is in a 2-3 acre pasture with 3 other horses. There's a run in
large enough for all 4 to fit under. He also has a 12x12 stall in the barn.
I debate whether or not to call and see if the pm barnhand can put him
in his stall before the guy leaves to go home.
Rebel always seems slightly off (probably stressed) in the morning if
there had been bad storms during the night. I usually find him laying
down in the run-in.
While he likes his stall I've never left him in it overnight and don't
know that being confined like that, without his buddies, would be better
than leaving him out. My piece of mind would benefit but I don't know
about his.

I want mine in if there is any chance of lightening (ya I know it can
happen any time)
so if rain is in the forecast mine are in. I figure if I can eliminate
one cause of
having a dead horse I will.
