| Sorry, I have been googling and going through rec.eq posts, but I
| can't quite make this out (as always please note I speak English as a
| second language):
|
| What exactly does it mean when you say that a horse inverts?
|
| Paula, always curious about terminology
hollow
drop the back
park out
no reach over the topline
incorrectly light feel in the hand
concave up
convex down
hyperbola up
looking over the top back at the rider in some cases : )
cured by correct and consistent leg to hand to get the horse to constantly
reach for the bit in a correctly light fashion. f/d/o teaches the feel of
this like nothing else IMHO. until then, you just follow the contact back
(withOUT pulling... that is, you maintain the same contact no matter where
the head goes) and get them back up to the hand with the seat/legs. never
drop the contact.
as I understand it.
