Thanks for the good wishes from folks. The mare is out of surgery. The
corneal abcess was 1/4 to 1/2 the depth of the cornea ... No corneal
transplant, just the graft. All affected tissue removed. Started systemic
anti-fungal as well as the lavage. Another 10 days at the vet school. Then
maybe a half-way house - depends on what the owner can afford. She'll live
at the barn and treat herself if she has to.
