It's a good idea to take two samples about two weeks apart, in case, by
chance, the bugs were in a lull in their life cycle on the first sample.

Does anyone check the samples themselves? Might be a good
project for the kid ... He has a nice microscope. What's the
process? Can't be that difficult.
