Sure, heck, what the hell. I don't give a royal *** what your and the gun
lobby wants. I don't want people shooting next to my horses. Sue me.

I stated my frame of reference. If it was done safely, which you assume,
then find out. Sic him. If it is done unsafely and near my animals and
without safety procedures of at least 2000' from my animals then I find a
lawyer and stop you from shooting.

Free clue: You want 2000+ feet between your horses and gunfire? That's a
basic "non-problem", and you're welcome to it.

However, I hope you've got title to enough ground to put 2000 feet of
distance between horse and property line, otherwise, you're not stopping
diddly, even with the most slime-like of bottom-feeding lawyers.

So long as the only thing reaching your property is the sound and/or
muuzzle-flash, your right to do anything about it other than sitting
there chanting "I don't like it, make it stop! I don't like it, make it
stop!" ends at your property line. Period.

You want 2000 feet of clearance from your horses and any shooting, but
the furthest you can get them from the nearest property line is 500
feet? You're out of luck, legally, ethically, morally, any-which-way-ly.
Learn to live with it, or find yourself someplace else to put the
critters. Those are your only two options.
