When "rodeo time" (or fear of same) is your first, clearest recollection of
that equine body posture's outcome, it can be difficult to let go and
encourage the real stretch. Took me months to quit expecting a buck and
just roll with it, and no doubt I'll revert to a more protective stance
when I start riding again.
