First off, a new baby! Cute little filly -- very light sorrel in color.
Now, Mom is black and Dad is black ... but the paternal granddad is
palomino. Lots of very light hair in that little broom tail. White
stockings, but very light sorrel running up the legs. It will be
interesting to watch her grow into her final colors!

Congrats! "Very light sorrels" tend often turn into normal
chestnuts/sorrels when they grow up as babies are normally somewhat paler
than adults. Those "white stockings" might also be just normal pale
chestnut baby legs and not true white markings.

Palomino grandsire means that the black sire is Ee chestnut carrier, and
this filly proves that the black dam is Ee too. And you know that this
little one is genetically aa ee - a chestnut, which "hides" black.

horses. Something I had not realized -- Clydes come in Black! Very
sharp look with all those white blazes, white stockings and feathers and
black coats. Two are definitely sabino

If they all have 2-4 stockings and blazes, they all are sabinos. Just
extreme sabinos have some body white and it is more normal for a sabino to
have just stockings and/or blaze down to lips. And most minimal sabinos
have perhaps just 1-2 socks and a snip and are impossible to tell apart
from normal solids by just looks.

This handsome Finnhorse stallion is a sabino, and that has been proven by
his numerous offspring:
