Sounds like a weak stifle or something. It also sounds like your trainer
understands it and can keep an eye on it.
When those racing-type quarter horses are in good condition, their canter
depart can feel like a rocket going off.
Not just the racing-types in good condition.
Mocha (hard-core reining and cutting blood) has a nice JATO response.
