My last purchase was via internet but I thought you might be around
somewhere.
I'm in the area...not around the corner, but not terribly far either.
I don't like the leather wipes myself. I found that they sealed the dirt
in
making a true cleaning near impossible. I wipe my tack down with a damp
cloth - yes, plain water - after riding to get the dirt off, boots too.
And
deep clean and condition maybe twice a year.
Oh, now that I can do. I was worried (why?) about using just a damp cloth
with water on it. I can do that though. Thanks again! JJ
Not sopping wet, just wet enough to scrub off the sweat and dirt. The
inorganic parts of dirt are, after all, little teeny rock bits and cause
much of the leather damage we see in boots and tack if left there. If your
leather gets sopping wet (say after a lesson in the pouring rain), it needs
to dry slowly, away from concentrated heat and light and then be
reconditioned.
