"No sympathy for the spectators in Mexico (poetic justice perhaps) but
I was really impressed with how easy it was for the bull to make that
jump!"
-barely apropos- in my lesson on saturday, my instructor was hollering
at us for our myriad failings cantering over a little crossrail, and
reminded us of the news story last year (?) of a small herd of buffalo
getting loose somewhere and finally being rounded up on a tennis court;
the tv news kept showing one clip of one of the animals jumping the
net with a beautiful bascule.
my instructor was trying to get us to get our horses to emulate the
buffalo.
needless to say, we failed.
