When you start to get 'sensory overload' I think it really helps to
mentally just picture your skeleton..picture your skeleton, your
seatbones as 'pointers', your thigh just opening in the direction you
want to go..your *feet* tracking where you want to go, and picture that
there just *happens* to be a Petey there.Your *feet* are laying your
track, your seat is getting him there. Your ribcage is following your
seat, you shoulders even with his and his directly in front of
yours...so often when I find something not working I relax the muscle
and think skeleton and it works.
Another image that helped me, years ago (and you can thank Susan Harris
for it) is for a girl to picture that she..er..is a guy. We all laughed
long and hard at what became 'follow your inner weenie' but it can help
you keep your pelvis pointing the right way, rather than carrying one
hip in front of or behind the other.
