Could be. As far as I could tell it was solid black. I didn't want to get close enough to see it better, or to ask the dog's owner what it was. Not that I was afraid of the dog, but afraid of what Bingo's reaction would be.

And pictures pop up immediately. Nice dogs -- big overgrown babies who can be very protective and yet are very friendly.
