Re-read this. Now, if your instructor does not think this of great
importance, why does she never ride on the buckle herself?

She is serious about this, and I would venture you are not thinking any
deeper about this than you need to. But realize, if the teacher has a
program and her program is 'on contact all the time' her students will be
doing the same thing at her request. "Do, as I do."

This is a pure arbitrary teaching technique. Do not get out your stone
tables just yet for the choir.
