Oh man, that sux! You might consider music lessons as a way
to circumnavigate the math stress and enhance skills at the same
time (chess too).

Very true but I'd also be hopping up and down for a teacher
change.

A little spitfire, eh? Gotta love it.

Aw, bless him. I keep waiting for my old girl to start showing her age.
I know it's going to happen. At some point winter will take her down
a peg. She might be 25 chrono but she's still looks like 10. Is Nancy
still hanging here? IIRC she dealt with some EPSMs at her last place
of residence - maybe still does. I don't know.

Heh. Part of APM's homework this week was to find a monarch
caterpillar to care for. He found one at the local bird sanctuary. He
named it Jimi Hendrix. Jimi has doubled in size over the past week
and is ready to start spinning silk or whatever it is they do.

The hummers here go from the feeder to a trumpet vine [tree] in the
corner of the dog run. I like that they build their walnut sized nests
out of bud scales and spider silk and line it with thistle down. The
spider silk allows the nest to stretch to contain growing nestlings.
Respiration is at 250 per min. Heart rate 250 per min resting,
1,200 per min feeding! Flight speed is between 30/50/63 MPH
depending [normal, escape mode, dive]. Life span is up to 12 years
with 3-5 as the average. Fascinating little critters.
