I am too cynical I guess. It just seemed like a set-up since "Tracy" was
supposed to be a friend of the family, not just somebody they hired to find
and sell a horse for them. A friend would not have advised this being a
safe investment worthy of taking out a second for. Sure seems fishy to me,
but then again nobody but Tracy made money on it and she didn't make much
probably. So I'm just being cynical! The wife just seems a little bit
taken advantage of by her husband and Tracy who needed cash for this thing
to fly.
If they had just hired a broker or a trainer to do this out of the
phonebook, then I wouldn't be as skeptical. It's the "friend" connection
that seems off to me.
