Re: Viticulture question

I just planted them in the ground. I assumed they are vinifera,
that's what I was lead to believe. The varieties are, Muller Thurgau,
Siegerebbe, and some Pinot Noir. This year I will also include
Gewürztraminer (however these were started in pots). I had just bought
my house and was in a hurry to get the vineyard going. If this is why
the growth is stunted, will they recover and grow normally? I'm going
to try some of these tips and if they don't work this year, I guess
I'll rip them out and start over.

The vineyard where I got the cuttings has all seven acres of their
grapes planted from cuttings. Whether they started them in pots, I do
not know. They also told me that the phyloxera problem hasn't
manifested itself in our area. They're on an island adjacent to the
peninsula I live on. So the remote micro-climate insulates us from it,
for now. Not a whole lot of agriculture, let alone grape production
going on around here.
