This morning I'm enjoying a sunnier view off my back patio - the

It sounds lovely! The sun is just now over the hill onto my street,
but there is a cold wind blowing and it's freezing out.
I'm also enjoying my coffee - roasted yesterday, brewed today and quite
nice with a little heavy cream.
Oh yum! I could use some of that myself. Where is my grinder?
I'm spinning Romney tops right now and making 3-ply yarn. I expect to
have spun enough yarn for another sweater by the end of October.
Learning how to spin is on my list of things to do someday. I've been
saying for a few years now I'd love to make a sweater from the sheep
up, including natural plant dyes, since there are a few in my area
that give really nice varying colors, depending on what mordant you
use.
Back to the patio to enjoy the morning coolness while it lasts. It may
be October but my weather still says "summer" - I'm expecting 95F and
humid by 11am :P
Wow, I could use some of that in my neck of the woods as well. We've
had a cold snap, and went from 60 at night to freezing in just a week.
Had the house fan on yesterday afternoon to move air through, and then
had to close up and turn on the heater as the sun went down! However,
I'm wearing my frat twin wool socks tucked into my handmade slippers
and am contemplating working on some more wool socks in a fingering
weight yarn. To knit or crochet this pair is the question. Crochet
means they'll be done faster, while knitting means thin enough to fit
into any shoes. Decisions!
Of course, I also have a cardigan I'm designing, and I may work on
that later as well. I have one more piece shape to design, and then I
can see about assembling the back and starting on one of the fronts.
