But my intention was to make small, neat, girly socks. It seems to me that it could be difficult to get an exact size with diagonal
As the cuffs came out, I saw I had to use more stitches than I thought,
to harmonise the shape, and then the socks became "more sporty" than the
intention was.
But after I tried them in my mountain boots, I felt they were nice to
wear, lively coloures, and OK for that pupose.

knitting patterns in modular knits and entrelac. Making the my scarf was
easy because the size was less important than it would be with socks.

Yes ,
You are right there, Jan!
I could have changed the amount of sts in each pattern repeat,
when I saw that the cuffs were so roomy!
But I wanted to have 5 repeats, because I felt 4 would be like
*one pattern in each corner* LOL!
And I prefered to use the amount of stitches in the pattern,
because I was not quite familiar with it yet.
But after this, I learned how the pattern was built up.
I think that is the fact with the MD-knit, you have to understand the idea,
and then adapt it.
I feel it is pretty interesting, and open for *new* ways of doing things!
