Hi Gwen, indeed it is the weekend here as well....LOL we are at the last
bit of Saturday. Was a lovely day, good enough to walk into town to pick
up the weekend paper. I was to walk home as well, since Otto was cleaning
up a "widow maker" blown over tree that was hung up on other trees. Lucky
for me I met a friend at the super market and she drove me home again. I
started spinning, a brand new fleece, gone through our local mill. It is
a Newzealand grey Lincoln fleece from Ashford. I am sampling for rug
yarn. Have in mind to make a it hard twisted four ply. That means fairly
thin yarn, to get a medium size to weave with.

The weather has been wild here as well, and I hear from my family in
Holland that it has been much colder than usual, also with many wind
storms. Scanning of old pictures is fun, but when I do it I always get
sidetracked. Using filters and other fun affects in Adobe Photo shop.

Your software to make pictures into crosstich patterns sound like a lot of
fun. Show is your horse adventure in stitch when you are finished with it

Have a great weekend

Els who is now going to bed, up to the Sunday

Since it is never Sunday when I write about Sundays I will call it " a
weekend" instead ! Well Sunday has continued with the wild weather we have
had for three days. We went to 9 am Mass ( late for us) in the hope that
the rain may ease but indeed it did not and the wind is so bad umbrellas are
useless. There were trees down and lots of small branches on the road as it
blew a gale all last night

All the beaches in our area are closed and the river is in flood ( no danger
to anyone though) and the surf is enormous and very high as there is a very
high tide as well.

A good day for a nice stew for lunch - started already. I started it in the
microwave when we got home. We love a wet cool day for such a treat -
salads are great on hot days but since we have so many hot days a change is
wonderful.

After lunch I will get back to scanning my photos - up to about 1750 so far
and only half way through 1984 ! So I will not be out of work for a long
time

Did I tell you that DD#2, Colleen, gave me a cross stitch disk for Christmas
along with the scanner. It is great, one can take any picture and turn it
into a cross stitch chart. I am going to do one of her first horse for her
for Christmas and for Shauna one of a great lion photo she took when in
Namibia.

Better get back to work - listing all the above made me feel I will never
get it all done Have a great weekend God Bless Gwen
.
