Simple, basic sock pattern

Anyone have a simple, basic sock pattern? Just thought I'd try a pair
of warm handmade socks for a change of pace - it's been a cold winter
:) As a teenager, I made argyles, but now I'm just looking for warm
socks to wear around the house.
