Hang in there Pirjo! Once the pain is overwith, the results are worth it
all. :o) I still have *some* pain... had to resort to taking a half a
painkiller last night finally... but so far today *knock on wood* I have
only used an anti-biotic, two extra-strength Tylenol, and one of my pills
for Fibromyalgia/tendonitis. It seems like (if I go by the last couple of
days) the extreme pain is spacing itself out further and further... so
hopefully if I need a painkiller at all today, it won't be until close to
bedtime.

Hi!
Oh Gemini...What a mess! My Dad has made me the root canal thing 2 times.
It has not been nice...the pain before. But after he has fixed it all has
been OK.
Well, some time ago Dad had to take 2 teeth away from my mouth, upper jaw.
First he had to kill my sense of pain. So he gave me 4 shots (2 to first
teeth and 2 to second one). After that talking was a little bit hard. You
see, the area between my nostrils and my upper lip...I could not feel it!
I really could not feel it. It was totally numb. And when the pain killer
stuff left my body, I complained Dad like this: "Aw aw aw! Hurts hurts, my
upper jaw hurts!"
Well, there were some frosty weather in my time zone too...and oh man, did
that cold make the pain worse! Eating was almost impossible. I was not
able to chew. The upper jaw hated it for a while. Only liquid food was
something I was able to eat, so yoghurt was one huge favourite for me. But
now I can eat in normal way already - but not for long. When the next
Thursday-Friday - night comes, I must drive home from Aspenwater town
(translated from Finnish name). I must be here at 9:30 AM or something
like that. You see, there is one special dentist - he is even better
dentist than my Dad. He checks my mouth and maybe puts braces there. Aw aw
aw....hurts hurts hurts. I know of experience. Ouch ouch ouch! Hurts hurts
hurts, upper jaw hurts then! And it is the whole upper jaw, which hurts. I
simply am not able to eat much, because when that metal thing is in my
mouth, I just can not chew or bite anything. I can only eat liquid and
soft food untill the pain goes away. It will, in time, but if something
touches my upper teethline before that...I could roar for pain.
So Gemini...I can tell you I understand - at least somehow - what you are
going through...even I do not have a fibro. And as you see from my
message, there are painful times ahead of me. But I have to be brave and
keep going through it.
Best: Pirjo
