http://www.tristan.bc.ca/cart/home.php?cat=38 Look around this website
and see if there is anything that fits the bill.
I placed an order just today, so I can't attest to the service yet.

Almost. I use a lot of baby blue in my preemie sewing and they didn't
have anything close in Aurifil. I have a spool of the Genziana here in
the gentle blue but haven't tried it yet. I guess this is not much of a
test - but it looks okay. Next to be quilted is Silly Goose (that DH says
looks like AFLAC to him) and it will be quilted in a sort of toasty gold.
On the 'back burner' is a red/white/blue that I'll probably do in red.
I'm surely hoping that the Genziana is great. I use a monstrous amount of
thread and like the price. Polly

On Polly's tip several months ago, I bought up a lot of Aurifil thread
from www.carmenwarehouse.com The ordering is a little strange, but I
agree - if you need a neutral light color - almost any light colored
thread will work. If you need a dark, same thing. The very first quilt
instructor I had told us to use yellow for piecing - & I used yellow for
a few years - now I have branched out:)
Polly - have you tried the Italian Genziana that Carmen Warehouse is
carrying? Just wondering how it compares to Aurifil.

Add a little cheese and it sounds like a casserole!
Roberta in D, wondering if anybody has tried some of those Italian
threads

You can buy aurifil 50 wt at www.Carmenwarehouse.com for about half
price if
you are willing to stitch with some exotic colors. Lately, I've been
piecing with eggplant and whale, I think. Doesn't matter much with crib
quilts; I guess it might if you're producing an heirloom. Their website
is a
little strange. You must click a pair of spools and they will give you
a
few colors in a range; click another pair and see another range and so
on.
For half price, I'm willing to wander around seeing what's available.

I haven't tried the Best Press -- yet. <G> As for the Aurifil, I
don't
think it's really that expensive, when you consider how much is on
the
spool. :)
Yes, that's my story and I'm sticking to it as well.
