Esther's is the shop on Bainbridge and it is definitely worth the
trip. If you are a knitter/needlepointer/tea drinker there is also a
wonderful shop called "Churchmouse Yarn and Tea" that is also worth
stopping for. If you get further on down the peninsula, stop in and
see me at Debbie Macomber's A Good Yarn Shop in Port Orchard!

Ok, so I have been home for all of three days now (celebrated DGD 3rd
birthday with her on Monday! Was in Ocala for the party) but I leave for
Seattle tomorrow morning for the next to last business trips of 2008. At
least I hope so. I was thinking of visiting Bainbridge Island. I hear they
have a neat little quilt shop there. Is it worth the visit?
I leave for Cape Hatteras on November 1. I am taking 20 of my sweet FILs
cotton plaid shirts to make 6 lapquilts for each of his children for
Christmas. He passed away in his sleep in late January and I asked my DH to
get his shirts. No one knows I am doing this except for DH. He has been
busy helping me cut off all the buttons. I hope to be able to get all 6
done in one week. I have the quilter lined up and she is ready to go in
mid-November. I am saving all the pockets and buttons too to use them
elsewhere. I worked with one shirt today and I can get 24 six inch blocks
from a long sleeved shirt.
It's gonna be a busy few months!
