Mystery quilt

I made one about 10 years ago at an all day class.
Actually the two teachers told us we would finish the top
in one day !!! Ha..! Midway through the class they
realized that we wouldn't finish a top and told us to
just keep following directions until we made one block !!
We'd spent so much time on making so many blocks at the same time
that when they changed the instructions to making just one block
I was one of the few that got one done!!!! . I'd been fortunate enough
to have fabric on hand that I could use...3 colors needed....
and didn't have to buy more. But I was so glad that I hadn't
bought fabric because after I'd finished with all the blocks
I really did not like the top at all and gave it to a local
charity project. I'm one of those that would rather
know in advance exactly what I'm making.

I've been busy googling for Mystery Quilts.... and I've found several that
are out there at no cost. But how do you know which are "good ones"?

I've never done one.... but I'm assuming that what makes one "good" first
and foremost is clear, consise, accurate instructions (since you really
don't know where you are going!!)

Do any of you have experience with Mystery Quilts? Are there any out there
free on the web that you have done -- and have found fun to do?

I'm open for your suggestions!

Thanks in advance!!!
