and I just now got a note from my friend who was having the dbl mastectomy

Great News came today! Pathology showed that they got all the cancer and
that it had not traveled to the lymph nodes! So that means that no chemo
and no radiation! Yahoo!

I meet with the oncologist tomorrow morning and then we get to map out our
next couple of years of monitoring things!

I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends - Thank you! -L

and another friend from Scouts had a good report on his cancer/tumor
removal from his brain. They got 80% out which is what they predicted as
best case scenario, so they feel they can get the rest with radiation and
chemo. I guess it pays to live in Houston if the big C hits you.... and
Thank you all again for all your good thoughts and prayers! I know they
helped a lot!

now I am off to see what i can throw together as far as handwork for our
trip to IL/MO later this week...
