Leslie --
How about this for your first trip? http://www.thebuccaneer.com/ Not quite International (since it is the United States Virgin Islands), but I think it would give you the international feel. My daughter just returned from here for her honeymoon and they had a wonderful time. Since it is still United States territory, there isn't the problem of language or money and her nationwide Cingular cell phone worked and they were even on the same time as us. Her flight was from Indianapolis to Chicago to Puerto Rico and then to St. Croix on the way down and then from St. Croix to Puerto Rico to Dallas to Indy on the way back so that might not be too bad from your area for you. One day they rented a car and toured the island which isn't too big. And neither one of them got sick from the food and/or water (lol, from reading the other replies).

It seems I am going to have the opportunity to do some traveling- I've never been outside the USA except for a short way across the border into Mexico. And I've only flown about 5 times and never even had to catch a connecting flight. I've never ridden in a taxi or public transportation. I need to know what to do??? How do I find a curling iron that will work no matter where I go? Can I take an aerosol can of hairspray? How do people pack what they need without going over the weight limits? Is cotton clothing the best or too wrinkly? How do you pack clothing so it doesn't look like you slept in it???
Help!
Leslie- applied for my passport and now I'm lost! & The Furbabies in MO.
