And here comes old Cranky Pants Polly with a warning. Don't think you can
take special care of your hand embroidery by washing it with Woolite. It's
been years since I destroyed a piece that I'd spent hundreds of hours on
with the gentle, cold water wash. They may have improved their formula by
now but I'm not forgiving or forgetting.
The verse on the piece says "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It
wastes your time and annoys the pig."
I really should get over the pitiful faded look of it and go ahead and
frame it. So often, I need that reminder. Polly
