I am returning to WW this summer. It is easier for me to stick on a
diet in the summer because I can spend time preparing food. I did WW
at work and continued over the summer three years ago and took off 32
lbs. I kept it off until this school year when it began creeping back
up - mostly due to comfort eating - it's been a really tough year. I
found the best with WW is to pre-purchase a 10 week plan because it
forces you to go back. If you don't like to meeting leader, find a
new one because the leader and people in your group can make all the
difference.
I am not a veggie lover, but I discovered some things I can make that
satisfy me. For instance, at lunch, I would make a high grain, fat
free wrap (1 pt) and spread it will low fat laughing cow herb cheese
(1 pt), add one slice of low fat, low salt turkey (1 pt) or precooked
chicken strips and tons of fancy salad lettuce with a few drops of FF
honey mustard dressing (0 points). If I wanted it more like a
restaurant sandwich, I added a sprinking of bacos (1 pt).
I also flavored a lot of the steamed veggies with a low sodium hoisin
sauce for a nice flavor.

What do you guys think? Anybody successful at taking and keepingLinda
weight off with WW? Anybody got gripes or cautions?
I lost almost 50 pounds two years ago. Now I've put back on 20 in the
past few months. Just lack of activity and eating too much. But I
can't seem to get back under control with my eating. Too much fatigue
that I'm fighting (I'm taking antibiotics again right now because dr.
just realized that my constant horrible fatigue of the moment is a
previously undetected lung infection. grrrrrr) while taking steroids
and other nasties that put weight on the human body.
Now, I feel so horrible. Can't fit into any clothes. Can't stand to be
seen in public like this. And I know I don't have the willpower to do
what I did two years ago. I ate nothing but green salads for two meals
a day. It appears to b e the only way I lose weight. If I ate more
than 1000 calories a day, weight goes back up.
BTW -- I hate green veggies. One of the meds I take gives everything a
bitter edge to the taste and green veggies seem to have it the most.
They taste bad, don't satisfy hunger and set off my reflux really bad.
So I'm thinking maybe Weight Watchers. What do you think? Will I be ab
le to do this? Is it a waste of money (waist of money???)??
Inquiring minds and fat butts want to know,
