OT: update on Tom

Well, he has his 8yo check up this afternoon, and hopefully that will go well. We have an appointment scheduled on the 14th with a specialist. Apparently this doctor is not only an allergy/asthma guy, but also the best in immunology, so we will go there and see what he says.

Tom is doing pretty good all things considered. He's not sure if he really likes the half-days at school or not because he misses his friends and recess and such, AND, Mom makes him stay on top of his school work as opposed to just letting him goof off or watch tv. But for now it's working out.

He and I are doing extra work because he got a pretty bad grade on a math test (100 promblems in 5 minutes, subtraction). He knows his math, but I think he just gets locked up during test time. We are also going to be doing some "fun" stuff as it gets warmer - planning our garden for this year and possibly designing new floral space at the front of the house (previous owners put "things" out there, not pretty, just big and odd looking, and he and I both want color out there).

We aren't letting him get too over-worked, and that seems to be helping him get better and build up his strength, which is the main thing that we want righ now (other than ananswer as to what is oging on wiht him). He *did* make it to karate last night, but the instructor knows what's been going on and didn't make him run himself ragged.

So, that's where we are right now. Only other thing going on is th at Bek has a spring cold, but you can't tell it unless you take her temp or she coughs - she's still playing like normal.

I finished my Easter dress, so I can actually wear it to the wedding this weekend....baby steps and a few weeks late, but at least it's finished. No quilting going on yet, but getting there slowly.

Thanks for all of your thoughts, prayers, and suggestions!

Larisa
