Re: Birth of a Blog

Karen, I was a daily newspaper reporter for most of my career. I
covered everything from local government bodies (think city council
and county court and school board) to police news (think yuck) to the
Arizona Legislature and more. I wrote hard news and brites and people
news and profiles and such. I also worked freelance. I had contracts
for public relations and other writing duties with a variety of
private companies and boards. This was after we moved to Washington
State. I wrote magazine pieces and speeches and features and press
releases and at one point in my career I worked for the Arizona School
Boards Association where I wrote, created and published a glossy
journal four times a year. And I lobbied a bit for them. That only
lasted a year. Even if we hadn't moved, I would have found another job
soon. Too much office politics for my taste.

Anyhow, that's the quick version. If you want more specific then send
me an email and I'll fill you in with such stunningly boring and
mundane details that you will begin to use my reply as a sleep aid.

Sunny
