Thank you all for the kind words and virtual hugs and prayers. I have
only been involved in making arrangements twice in my life -so far. Once
was for my Dad over 35 years ago and the other time was for my sweet,
wonderful MIL less than 10 years ago. Now I will help my DH through the
arrangements for his Dad tomorrow.
Right now we're trying to make the necessary arrangements to get my
stepson home from Marine base in California. Shouldn't be a difficult
task considering he is not in Iraq or other overseas deployment, but he
just left our home on Monday to head back to base. You see, he was home
to attend the funeral of his maternal grandmother. Two grandparents
passed away within a week of each other! When I mentioned this to my DH
he replied that it was even stranger that all four grandparents died in
the month of January!
