goodness, theres another reason to use up an activation that i'd not thot of.
could well be on the phone for ages working that out
if you run out of activations for the various reasons possible.
tis ok for those in USA with an 800 free toll call.
not so hot for those outside the USA who would probly have to pay for the long
distance call.
could be a dealbreaker there too, eh.

I have used two of my activations. But only because the 1st computer I
installed it on was stolen.

I just updated to eq6, and wanted to let everyone know that the recent
negative post about it is incorrect. My package came with a paper
specifically stating
..."You can uninstall and reinstall over and over on the same computer
to different drives, partitions, or under diggerent user profiles each
time without using a new activation."
"The purchase of EQ6 includes 4 activations, which means 4 computers
(unless you reformat drives or upgrade Windows). These 4 activiations
are intended to last for the life of your software. We stongly
suggest that you install EQ6 on one computer and save the remaining 3
activation for future computers or for possible computer failure."
so what I understand from this is that my new software will last
forever since
"New activations are used when you:
1. install and activate on a different computer
2. reformat the drive on which windows is installed
3. reinstall windows using a different windows product key"
Anyone out there ever find themselves in that position?
