Tonight a Pfaff Cover Style serger and a Pfaff 7570 sewing machine are
sitting on my kitchen table. Also the computerized embroidery setup
for the 7570. I am one confused woman.

I pulled the serger out of the box, looked at its five spools of
thread and pushed it right back in teh box. Apparently she never got a
chance to use it more than once or twice. I have a DVD to watch that
is supposed to teach me how to thread the machine. I hope I can find a
real human to teach me this. Otherwise I am lost, lost, lost.

The 7570 is another matter. Before I go to bed tonight I will hook it
up and sew a few nice, straight seams. I already like the machine.
It's just beautiful. Only problem and maybe one of you Pfaff users can
help me: how do I open the bobbin compartment? I'm used to a top
loading bobbin and this may drive me a bit nutty, not being able to
see when I'm running out of thread on the bobbin. Do any of you ahve
little tricks?

Anyhow, I feel blessed to have something that meant a great deal to my
friend. I told her today I was taking her baby home with me and she
managed a bit of a smile from somewhere in deeply medicated fog.

For the most part, I don't really care about my possessions. But my
sewing machine.... that 's different. That's my b aby and I want it
always to be loved and used.

Anyway, it is likely to be a few weeks before I get back to anything
like a regular sewing time. My energy is needed by people and that
takes precedence for now.

Love to you all and go hug your babies and hubbies and fuzzbutts and
friends and sewing machines,
Sunny
