Re: Felt Christmas Ornaments

I figured as much, but I did some (a while back, though - 2 years???) out of
regular craft felt and they just didn't weather the handling and stitching
well. They "pilled" something awful - and the dye seemed to have worn off a
bit with the handling, too.

I was really hoping that W/F is easier to use and more durable ... I put in
so much work on those other ornaments and they just didn't last well. :(
Though, that may be because I did use the REALLY cheap stuff (from Hobby
Lobby - sold in sheets) ... I did different ornaments about 10 years ago out
of felt that's lasted quite nicely. So, maybe it IS where it's bought!

Hugs!!

Connie, they may be designed to use with wool felt/felted wool, but you
can also use regular craft felt too. <G> I did some very similar ones
one year, way before the current wool felt craze. <VBG>

They are so ADORABLE!! Are they made out of wool felt? If so, it is easy

use?

I've been itching to do up some ornaments with W/F, but just can't find
any
in my area (can never remember to order some online) ... mayhap it's
time to
hit the local thrift store, buy some old wool sweaters and make my own!!

And yet again, you've proven to be quite the inspiration!! I thank you,
yet
my wallet doesn't!!! ;)

Aren't these cute? It's too late this year, but I'm thinking of
making a set for everyone in the family (small family) and giving a
little Charley Brown tree to display them.
