Re: GRAND SLAM SIDE WINDER CHRISTMAS CONTEST

Attach a VERY long string to one end of the bobbin, wind the rest of the
string throughout the house ... under tables, under chairs, through doorways
and back again (a la Tom & Jerry cartoons). On the "free" end of the string,
attach a cat or dog toy. Shake said toy in front of pet and then have an
assistant activate the bobbin winder. Watch pet run under the furniture,
through the doorways, under the bed, etc ...

Will keep pet occupied for HOURS. And if done safely, can amuse the human
friend as well.

I know this because my DS used to do the same thing with the toilet and
toilet paper ... he'd place a roll of TP on one side of the bathroom (about
10 feet away from the potty) and then he'd stick a leader end of the TP into
the potty, flush it and the dog would go NUTS!!! So would my son, of course.

That's all I can think of!!
Hugs!!
Connie :)

Howdy!

Why?
Because:

~gently snipped while laughing about "O'l Goofus"~

R/Sandy -- staying over here by the Slurpee machine ;-P

I love those who creatively "color outside the lines". After reading
R/Sandy's post I was thinking the Side Winder would be really quick and
nifty way to pull those loose button strings or chain stitched RTW hem
threads. Instead of carefully trying to pull the thread to snap it off
(which almost always fails) you can attach said loose thread to the Side
Winder and it a split second you can have a button rolling on the floor
and
under the couch or a totally undone and sagging hem! Brilliant, just
brilliant.

OK, here's the deal.....*IF* I get one of these gizmos for Christmas I
will
award it to whoever comes up with the most creative 'non-sewing' use of
the
Side Winder.......hehehehehe......this should be fun. If I should not get
one of these dealies as a gift I shall bestow a virtual Blue Ribbon for
Sideways thinking.

So far keeping Ol' Goofus busy is right there in top
place......Bwahahaha....too funny.
