I am so sorry to hear of your mom. I hope things turn out okay and
that the cancer is localized and the type that does not spread. If it
is something that is the result of the nuclear testing I hope she
follows through on the connection. I believe that we are just
beginning to find out the effects of this testing - I think most was
in the 50s and early 60s, although there may also have been some in
the 70s. When I was growing up in the 60s, I met a friend who was
convinced that her younger brother had contracted and died from
lukemia because of this when they lived in Nevada. He said that they
used to be able to see the aftermaths of the explosions.

seems the US government tested some kind of bomb in Nevada, I believe, in
the late 60's or early 70's and folks downwind in Arizona are popping up

federal government for her thyroid cancer. Right now she is still too upset
to discuss it, but I wonder if this is the same thyroid cancer that has
metastasized to her breast or if she has an entirely new cancer???
