Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I've also got some others of my own
that may/may not have been mentioned.
I have a small tackle box that I've put all my hand stuff in, appliqué
needles, scissor, threads, ruler, notebook amongst other things.
I've also got a larger one that will be machine sewing based. The idea is
that you grab and go with which ever box is appropriate.
I also bought several years ago a colourful cutlery holder from Linen's 'n'
Things that I have some of my smaller rulers, half square triangle, pencils,
cutters in that can sit on top of my sewing space for easy reach when
needed.
Keep the ideas coming, I know there's other stuff you take when not sewing
in your own space.
