a re-introduction (long)

I've been away from RCTQ, not quite 'off planet' but sometimes it felt that way. Since the Directory has just come out and I had to inform Alice of changes to 4 of 13 relevant fields for my entry I thought it might be time to re-introduce myself.
So now I am back -- with a new name, new home, new career path, and no D (of any variety)H. I used to be know here as Anne in CA. After trading in DH's last name for a new one -- Morgan -- I also reverted to my real first name -- Rosanne -- and usually answer to Rose. I had to mark everything All Read because there were almost 10,000 posting since I was here last in February! Hi all <waving> Its good to be back.
Below are relevant snipped bits from my original introduction back on 7 September 2003! with semi-relevant additions in < > if anyone is curious. Otherwise, stop here and go read more interesting posts. :-)

Hello rctq,
Since the last census, we are supposed to refer to the San Francisco Bay Area as the Greater San Jose Area because SJ is now bigger than SF. Phooey. Since I still call the ball park "Pac Bell", I am going to say I live in the "San Francisco Bay Area".
I think I have always known how to sew. Mom has a photo of me sitting next to Gram at about 18 months of age (me, not Gram) sewing on some punched cardboard sewing cards with long shoe laces. Gram is working on a quilt in the photo.
I can count all the quilts I have made in my life on my two hands and my left big toe.
<this is wrong. I've made LOTS more thanks to RCTQ swaps and inspiration>
The first quilt I made was a crib-sized appliqué Sun Bonnet Sue for DD#1, then 13 months later a crib-sized hand pieced 8-pointed star for DD#2 (because nobody told me pieced stars were hard to do). At some point in the haze of the late 60's, early 70's, I made a Jacob's Ladder from scraps left from sewing little girl clothes, which has since gone missing.
My current QI is a 98 pound Chocolate <- note, chocolate ;-) Labrador named Java the Mutt.
<Java went to the Rainbow Bridge in 2005>
Since I am currently following Weight Watchers and trying to maintain my Lifetime status, my favorite chocolates are Miss Meringue double chocolate cookies. In another life it was Ghiradelli Dark.
<This has been revised to Scharfen Berger -- one pound on its way to Pat for vetting as I type>
I think that's all the required info, no? Oh, right, colors -- greens, browns, creams, muted slate-y blues.
