Hey KJ,
Thanks, and long time no see! I wish most of those were current projects but
they are not. I took a new job this summer and we usually work 50 to 56
hours every week. Probably goes without saying that I'm tired a lot now and
I dont have quite as much time to pop in to RCTQ and visit. Just had to
share the Wad Hearts and Wad dolls though. They are so much fun to create
and so easy to do.
I am still teaching locally and in November I will teach in Omaha for their
guild. I do have a few new things-will have to get pictures up soon. I did a
fun pieced purse that is from silk, hand dyed velvet, and batiks-I think you
would like it.
Looking forward to July when I will attend the Crazy Quilt Retreat
http://www.crazyquilt.com/retreat.html to hang with my CQ buddies from all
over the US and just RELAX. I am going to take the class Mud Pie
Dying...should be really fun.
I am excited about a new project I will be starting this week. I am
participating in a really fun swap. Participants swapped out a baggie full
of cq goodies and received one in return. We each make a cq item from what
we received-then return the item to the original owner. I am going to make a
cq music box. I found the music box works on ebay yesterday. I even have an
idea of how to create divisions inside the box so it can be useful as a
jewerly box. Hope it turns out as nice as it is in my mind's eye :-)
I finally got to Grinnell Fiberworks last fall.....I was in heaven! I just
love their shop-such interesting fabrics and beads, and, and and.....
I will have to let you know when I get new pictures up. For now I'm off to
sew on yet another new purse, a sample to show in a class next week.
Good to chat with you again,

Here is what I do with tiny scraps:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/lisacaryl/168959962/in/photostream/ You can
get
thin clear vinyl at Joanns and make any shape you want. My new idea is
andmake book thongs-a heart shape on each end of crochet cotton. You'll get
the
idea if you look at the picture.

And I do mean tiny. Serger trimmings, things less than1 inch wide,
selveges, etc. I have been putting them in a waste bin of their own,
now it is full. What do y'all do with yours? Should I just throw them
in
the trash, or is there a use for them that I'm not aware of? Thanks in
advance,
